How to make an apartment plan with dimensions
A useful plan starts with measurements. Check the actual walls, niches and openings instead of assuming a perfect rectangle.
1. Prepare measurements
Record each wall length, room height, and the width and height of every door and window opening. Mark the distance from corners to openings, columns, ventilation boxes and other fixed elements.
2. Build the 2D outline
Sign in to Apaplan, draw the outer contour and check the displayed lengths. Add internal partitions and set wall thickness from your measurements.
3. Add windows and doors
Place openings on the correct walls and check their size and swing direction. The swing affects cabinets, desks and routes through the room.
4. Check the result
Compare several finished dimensions with your measurements, including distances between opposite walls. Use 3D to review heights and openings before choosing furniture.
